Connecting with nature

I've taken a few days off between jobs and managed to get out into the Cairngorms for a wee wander yesterday. I was scouting a location I've been looking at for ages now and can't wait for conditions to be just right for what I think will be a magical shot.
Anyway, on my way back to the path I happened upon this little fellow who was catching some rays and trying to warm up. He was pretty lethargic and made the perfect model.
I found myself having a conversation with him and asked him how he was doing, what he was up to and where he was planning going today?
I think he was the silent mysterious type but one thing struck me. It was this connection with nature and how the encounter made my day.
I snapped a few shots before leaving him in peace.
